Popular steakhouse chain adds menu items that aren’t beef

Restaurant operators are navigating higher costs and changing consumer spending habits, making it increasingly important to find ways to attract customers and maintain traffic.

Prices for food at home increased 2.2% over the 12 months ending August 2026, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Restaurant prices have also continued to rise, with food away from home costs increasing 3.4% over the same period.

At the same time, restaurants that serve beef are facing higher costs for one of their key ingredients. Beef prices were 9.4% higher in July 2026 than in July 2025 and are forecast to increase 9.8% in 2026, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Price Outlook.

Higher food and operating costs have contributed to menu-price increases across the restaurant industry, while operators have also turned to promotions, seasonal offerings, and loyalty programs to give customers more reasons to visit.

Fogo de Chão is taking several of those approaches this fall. The upscale Brazilian steakhouse has introduced a new seasonal menu, revived a value-focused dining promotion, and launched a rewards challenge offering members discounts and other prizes.

Fogo de Chão launches its 2026 fall menu

Fogo de Chão’s 2026 fall menu features several seasonal dishes, including:

  • Grilled Branzino: Grilled butterflied branzino served with crispy yucca bites, papaya vinaigrette, capers, parsley, and lemon.
  • Sweet Potato and Apple Salad: Roasted Fuji apples and sweet potatoes with fresh herbs.
  • Crispy Chickpea and Kale Salad: Kale and radicchio with creamy Parmesan ranch, crispy chickpeas, and Parmesan.
  • Beet Hummus: Traditional hummus with beets.
  • Rainbow Carrots Crudité: Raw rainbow carrots.
  • Potatoes Au Gratin: Layered Yukon Gold potatoes baked with smoked provolone and Parmesan.
  • Honey-Roasted Rainbow Carrots: Roasted carrots with whipped feta and honey.

Fogo de Chão brings back $49 Best of Brazil promotion

Alongside the fall menu, Fogo de Chão has brought back its Best of Brazil promotion.

The offer includes the restaurant’s Market Table and Feijoada Bar, side dishes, and a selection of tableside Brazilian cuts, including steak, chicken, and pork.

Best of Brazil is priced at $49 or $54 at select locations in California, Washington, and Washington, D.C., as well as in Las Vegas, New York, and New Jersey, according to the company’s website.

The promotion gives customers a lower-priced way to experience some of the restaurant’s signature offerings, although availability and pricing vary by location.

Fogo de Chão offers rewards members exclusive deals

Fogo de Chão is also using its loyalty program to encourage repeat visits this fall through its Churrasco Champions challenge.

From now through Nov. 8, Fogo Rewards members can earn exclusive rewards and prizes by completing qualifying activities during the challenge period.

Members can participate by making and completing a reservation for at least two people, bringing a new customer to their next visit, and ordering a Full Churrasco Experience, a cocktail, or specialty beverage, including nonalcoholic options.

Completing any one of the three qualifying actions during the period earns members a complimentary indulgent upgrade on their next visit. The offer is valid for 30 days and can only be earned once.

Members who complete all these actions receive $50 off their next Churrasco for two and are entered into a sweepstakes for the Ultimate Game Day Getaway.

The grand prize includes tickets for two people to their favorite NFL team’s game, dinner at Fogo de Chão, official team gear or merchandise, and a one-night hotel stay.

Together, the seasonal menu, Best of Brazil promotion, and Churrasco Champions challenge give Fogo de Chão several ways to attract customers as restaurants continue competing for consumer spending amid higher food and operating costs.

Restaurant chains add deals and limited-time offerings

Fogo de Chão is not the only restaurant chain using limited-time offerings to attract customers as consumers contend with higher food prices. Several major chains have introduced seasonal menus, promotions, and other incentives this fall.

  • McDonald’s: Launched the new Caramel Apple Pie coffee lineup, with four coffee-based beverages for fall 2026.
  • Red Lobster: Brought back Endless Shrimp for the second time in 2026 at participating restaurants nationwide.
  • Chick-fil-A: Made nine test items available nationwide for fall 2026.
  • Starbucks: Released the first part of its 2026 fall menu, featuring nine returning favorites and nine new seasonal beverages and food items.
